Sales Representative - Kelowna, BC

  • As a key member of our sales team, the Group Benefits Advisor supports both Management and the Sales Representatives with the Sales Process. The position is responsible for managing an existing block of clients while simultaneously working to grow by developing and onboarding new clients.

  • The Group Benefits Advisor will be responsible for educating clients on group benefits and processes with the goal of assisting clients in introducing or renewing a benefit plan with their organization.

    This individual will be responsible for advising on all aspects of the company benefits programs and administration for both existing and potential clients.

    This position plays a crucial role in MVB’s business development and revenue generation through the inquiry and the acquisition of new clients. They are required to communicate with members of the senior management team on a number of issues, findings and recommendations.

    The Group Benefits Advisor will achieve these goals in a cost-effective manner, while administering competitive benefits, group retirement plans, and health spending accounts that meet the needs of employees. With a work hard play hard, teamwork mentality, the Group Benefits Advisor works closely with all members of the MVB team to collaborate on disrupting the benefit market!

  • Client Management

    Advise and assist on interpretation and the administration of benefits packages

    Collect quotes and renewal proposals for client delivery

    Present quotes to clients upon renewal, or as requested

    Communicate with carriers and Service Reps any deviations or expectations

    Present quotes and recommendations from carriers to clients

    Communicate with clients to close gaps in missing information

    Semi-annual claims reviews with clients

    Delivery and presentation of renewals for existing clients

    Business Initiatives

    Assist in the organization’s business development by prospecting new clients

    Strategize optimal benefits packages based on quotes received from carriers and the client’s needs

    Managing leads and creating your own through networking or marketing initiatives

    Identifying and analyzing client exposures to recommend and/or design appropriate solutions for their needs

    Identify appropriate insurance carriers, send requests, negotiate favourable quotes and prepare recommendations.

    Working within a team to achieve maximum growth and retention

    Education/Experience/Knowledge Required Desired

    Education
    Post-Secondary Education (Diploma or Degree)

    Professional Designation (GBS, CEBS, etc.)

    Current Life License

    Experience
    Experience in the benefit insurance industry

    Experience in Customer Service

    Skills/Knowledge
    Technical experience with MS Suite and G Suite

    Knowledge of benefit insurance and terminology

    Strong verbal and written communication

    Ability to add value to projects through problem solving

    Ability to build strong, everlasting relationships with clients and team mates

    Requirements
    Class 5 Driver’s license and reliable vehicle X

Implementation Specialist - Calgary, AB

  • As a key member of our service team, the Implementation Specialist (IS) is responsible for supporting both Service Reps and Sales Reps with the Sales Process.

  • Creating consistency amongst all clients to deliver a more favorable experience, the IS must provide the highest level of customer service and efficiently problem solve out-of-the-box solutions for clients.

    Reporting to the Senior Account Services Manager, the IS collaborates with all Account Services Managers to successfully create a seamless and memorable experience for carriers and customers. Mirroring MVB’s culture, the successful candidate will illuminate positivity, and thrive in a fun loving, easy going environment. With a work hard play hard, teamwork mentality, the IS works closely with all members of the MVB team to collaborate on disrupting the benefit market!

  • Responsibilities

    The primary role of the IS is to onboard new and existing clients into employee benefit plans including:

    Document Creation:

    • Creating and editing all sales documents for carriers including:

    -Master Application

    -Advisor & Commission forms

    -Plan admin access forms

    -PAD

    • Creating calendars for clients to show target dates for smooth enrolment

    • Creating and delivering Non-Evidence Maximum forms (and Statements of Health) to employees directly who qualify for a Top Up (or send to the PA)

    • Creating review reports every month (accessing carries websites, pulling reports, creating documents, etc.)

    • Creating Benefit Summary form for clients

    • Creating Dedicated Contacts Sheets

    Management:

    • Assist Sales Reps in reviewing proposals for rate accuracy

    • Communicate with carriers and Sales Reps any deviations or expectations

    • Review and submit completed sales to carriers

    • Communicate with clients to close gaps in missing information

    • Communicate with clients on any carrier updates including benefit changes

    Internal System Management:

    • Update Salesforce with all pertinent information including:

    -Plan Administrators

    -Addresses and contact information

    -Carriers

    Business Initiatives:

    • Problem solve and spearhead cost saving initiatives to MVB and the Sales Rep team

    • Create consistency within MVB including internal processes, carrier and client delivery, etc.
